Targeted to Primary Care, ER and Critical Care Physicians or Residents beginning their cardiac rotation or fellowship. This course was requested for on-site presentation by the attending staff for Harvard Medical School. You'll learn the protocol for analysis and reporting of every element of the surface echocardiogram including all views, Doppler measurements and tissue tracking data. Special emphasis is placed on rapid and accurate recognition of systolic and diastolic wall motion abnormalities. The physiologic impact of diastolic heart failure and the many ways to assess it are made perfectly clear.
The very small class size permits us to identify and respond to your special interests and needs at every moment. This course is focused on our interactive dialogue but is supplemented with your independent access to our hands-on scan lab for your own self-study after hours.
Experienced echocardiographers find this course a thorough review in preparation for the national credentialing exams.
