Description:
This course follows CT: 101 but may be taken independently and is an excellent choice for an experienced CT technologist searching for a good CE course. Emphasis will be in the clinical applications of computed tomography as they pertain to radiation safety, patient care, contrast media, imaging procedures and protocols. Radiation Safety is a "hot topic" in CT imaging today and you will receive the most updated information, as well as what you can do as a technologist to minimize your patient's exposure.
Case studies will be used to provide a comprehensive review of general protocols, scanography, slice orientation, IV contrast, Slice thickness and range, kernel and display factors, and normal vs. abnormal studies of the commonly performed CT procedures. The day will conclude with a look into the more advanced computed tomography technology and applications of Cardiac, Perfusion, and Dual-Source/Dual Energy CT. Whether you combine this course with the CT 101: Theory, or only join us for this one day CT course, you will enhance your imaging skills feel more confident about performing CT procedures.
