MEETING DESCRIPTION:
Have a busy schedule? Don’t have time to attend a four-day fellowship? This course offers a multitude of learning opportunities for those who are just getting started in CT, who have a little scan time under their belt or are seeking more advanced information to further enhance their skills. This two-day course will begin with fundamental knowledge related to basic physics and principles related to CT, contrast media enhancement, instrumentation and scan protocols. Your skills will build quickly as you learn more about cross-sectional anatomy, patient care, and image artifacts. Also covered will how the image is formed and quality control related to the CT image as well as radiation protection for the patient and technologist. This course will also serve as an excellent review for those preparing for advanced certification examinations in Computed Tomography.
