Event Description

The six-day hands-on Abdominal/Family Medicine – OB-GYN ultrasound course is structured with lectures, interactive case studies and hands-on training to provide participants with a strong foundation to perform the ultrasound examinations as outlined in the AIUM ultrasound practice guidelines. Generous hands-on scanning is provided featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models for abdominal, transabdominal GYN, OB, and endovaginal GYN applications. 
Topics include liver, gallbladder/biliary system, renal, abdominal aorta, spleen, testicular and thyroid ultrasound.  Specialty break-out sessions include trauma ultrasound (FAST exam), Soft-tissue applications or Evaluation of Renal Artery Stenosis.   OB-GYN topics include scan protocols/techniques, GYN anatomy & pathology, first trimester evaluation, fetal anatomy, fetal biometry, biophysical profile, fetal heart screening, fetal abnormalities and much more.
This unique hands-on abdominal/OB-GYN ultrasound training program is taught by leading ultrasound expert physicians and sonographers to provide the perfect balance of a physicians' clinical experience and sonographers expertise.
