Course Highlights
The 2011 course offers an updated comprehensive review of the most important advances that have recently been made in internal and family medicine. The course, directed to Family Medicine and Internal Medicine providers, includes lectures, Q & A sessions; an interactive format that allows for immediate audience participation, Meet the Preceptor Luncheon sessions, and various afternoon workshops.
The emphasis will be placed on clinical programs and management strategies made in major subspecialties that will be covered including:
• Neurology
• Cardiology
• Gastroenterology
• Pulmonary
• Endocrinology

• Explain the utility of dermoscopy in the assessment of skin lesions

• Identify the utility of cardiac screening studies
• Recognize and diagnose liver disease
• Recognize current recommendations for preventative care when traveling abroad
• Improve communication skills with patients
• Diagnose and evaluate the acutely-confused patient in the hospital setting
