2316-Current Issues in Cardiothoracic & Body Imaging (in Napa)
August 8, 2011 - August 11, 2011
Villagio Inn & Spa, Yountville, CA
Hear leading experts discuss issues important to your current and future practice of cardiothoracic and body imaging at the Villagio Resort, located in Yountville, California, the culinary center of Napa Valley wine country. Lectures include new applications: coronary CT, cardiac MR, CT colonography, PET/CT, diffusion-weighted MRI & CT and MR perfusion imaging in the abdomen & pelvis.
MR perfusion imaging in the abdomen and pelvis, MR elastography, and MR and CT enterography. We will address the role of CT in screening for coronary artery disease, lung cancer, and colon cancer, with practical advice about whether and how to integrate all of these modalities and services into your practice, and current guidelines for training and reimbursement. A Penn oncologist will provide their perspective on what information the oncologist wants from cardiothoracic and body imaging.
Also included will be hot button topics such as how to design and implement a CT radiation dose reduction plan, and two Penn experts in health care quality and comparative effectiveness research will discuss socioeconomic issues important to your practice such as malpractice in cardiothoracic and body imaging, and the effects of health care reform legislation on imaging.
