Breast Imaging Update 2011

Course Description:
This program is designed to provide radiologists and other breast imaging health care professions with the basics, as well as advances, in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer as well as benign breast lesions. The focus of this course will be evaluation of the mammogram, integration of newer modalities for mammographic interpretation, Breast MRI, Breast Specific Gamma Imaging, CAD and Minimally Invasive Breast Biopsy, as well as an emphasis on evaluation and screening of high risk women and multi-modality correlation.
Objectives:
• Correlate mammography, MRI and Ultrasound findings.
• Assess benign and malignant lesions with BIRAD for mammography, ultrasound and MRI.
• Integrate breast MRI into clinical practice.
• Comprehend proper patient selections as well as proper approach to minimally invasive, image guided breast biopsy.
• Comprehend the role as well as the data for screening ultrasound for breast cancer.
• Comprehend the correlation of imaging findings and pathology at minimally invasive breast biopsy with concordance.
• Comprehend the clinical implications and surgical selection following a diagnosis of a high risk lesion on minimally invasive breast biopsy.
• Comprehend the use of CAD for mammography and breast MRI in clinical practice.
• Comprehend the basis of and the role of Breast Specific Gamma Imaging and Nuclear Medicine imaging of the breast.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of multi modality imaging correlation.
• Comprehend the evaluation and screening of high risk patient.
Target Audience:
This course is targeted for radiologists and other health care providers involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with breast cancer as well as technologists involved in the acquisition of images in breast imaging.

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Registration
The fee for Update in Breast Imaging 2011: (Wednesday through Thursday, July 13 - July 14, 2011) is:
$895.00 for physicians if your registration is postmarked by June 13, 2010. After that date, the fee is $950.00.
For Residents, Fellows, Retired, Military, the fee will be $695.00 and $750.00 after deadline.
For any Technologists/Allied Health Prof. the fee is $595.00 or $650.00 if your registration is postmarked after June 13, 2010.
A letter of verification from the Department Chairman must accompany the application of anyone wishing to qualify for the reduced rate. Enrollment will be confirmed on the basis of registration fee. We do not process registration without payment. We cannot guarantee course materials on site for a registration received after June 13, 2010.
