MEETING DESCRIPTION:
MQSA has moved the mammography procedure from a routine exam to the most visible procedure in imaging. In no other imaging modality can the consequences for non-compliance of quality standards result in serious legal consequences for the facility and the mammographer. It’s enough to keep you up at night: MQSA and the changing healthcare environment have “raised the bar” on quality issues and mammography programs are setting the example for the inevitable accreditation all other imaging modalities. New responsibilities call for new strategies in problem solving, quality assurance and documentation. Quality management terminology, trends and measurement will become the future “tool box” of the mammographer. The use of clinical data and patient demographics to measure the performance of the mammography practice is the next “strongly recommended” step in moving the mammography program forward. This is a course you are sure to want to add to your toolbox!
