The Four-Week Radiologic Pathology Course is designed to aid residents in their endeavors to achieve excellence in the technologically advancing specialty of radiology by employing radiologic-pathologic correlation in the identification of disease. The Department of Radiologic Pathology, one of 22 specialty departments within the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology located in Washington, DC, has instructed more than 18,000 radiology residents and practicing radiologists from around the world. The Course fulfills training requirements for over 310 residency programs. The current Radiologic Pathology course is a comprehensive review of radiologic imaging with pathologic correlation providing over two hundred hours of didactic instruction and case seminars. The course is organized into six separate sections: gastrointestinal radiology, genitourinary radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, and thoracic radiology, and is taught by six full-time staff radiologists, a Distinguished Scientist in radiology, and numerous eminent visiting professors.
