Advanced Practice Mammography Workshop

In this information-packed three-day training course you’ll get expert advice and proven effective approaches for the unique challenges you face daily in your mammography department. We’ll teach you the tips, techniques and strategies you need to know to have a top-notch quality control program whether you are doing film screen or digital mammography imaging. The fundamentals of mammography equipment, will be followed by the nuts and bolts of both digital and film screen quality control. The format for “Trouble Shooting Your Processor” will be interactive and part you will have the opportunity to interpret the clues with real examples from actual processing problems. The pace changes on the third day of the course, with the focus moving from the technical aspects of mammography to the procedural. You will gain valuable insight into your overall mammgoraphy program with topics on implementing and evaluating your quality management/assurance program, measuring patient outcomes, BiRads assessment categories, HIPAA, compliance issues and malpractice issues in mammography. You will benefit from the experience and expertise of two veteran mammographer’s who have been recognized for their teaching ability and expertise. This course was designed for professionals like you who are charged with achieving and sustaining the “quality factor” in their mammography departments.
