COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This 3-day “long weekend” course covers current, state-of-the-art issues in practical, advanced orthopedic imaging. The emphasis is on musculoskeletal MRI, with practical tips and pitfalls to avoid. The faculty includes experienced musculoskeletal radiologists from academic and private practice, as well as a renowned orthopedist. Ample opportunity for dynamic interactions with faculty is provided throughout the course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

Comprehend practical concepts for orthopedic MRI protocol design
Interpret the most recent advances in bone, joint, muscle, and nerve MRI interpretation
Distinguish between normal and pathologic findings in children and adolescents
Assimilate practical implications of imaging infections, tumors, and tumor-like lesions
Articulate the state-of-the-art in practical MRI of the spine
Ascertain clinically important orthopedic anatomy and pathology seen by MRI, with arthroscopic correlation, from an orthopedist's perspective
