Course Objectives:

At the completion of the program the physician, rheumatologist, sonographer or other medical professional participant should be able to:

1. Explain the use of MSK sonography for diagnosis and ultrasound - guided interventions for rheumatology, sports medicine, and physical medicine & rehabilitation applications
2. Describe techniques and protocols for performing shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, knee, ankle and foot ultrasound examinations and hernia evaluation.
3. Identify sonographic appearance of commonly seen pathology of the shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist, hand, ankle and foot.
4. Discuss the indications and findings for musculoskeletal hip and spine sonography.
5. Perform injection and aspiration techniques and discuss potential future applications.
6. HOT! Review muskuloskeletal ultrasound case studies in interactive interpretation session format.
7. Increase the participant's knowledge to better perform and / or interpret MSK ultrasound exams.
8. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting ideally under supervised conditions until an acceptable level of proficiency has been achieved.
