Description:
Physicians working in the Emergency Department were the first specialty group to embrace the use of ultrasound in their specialty area to expedite and improve the quality of care for the patient. This course was developed for physicians who have gone beyond the basics of the FAST exam and want to incorporate advanced ultrasound techniques into their daily practice. The power and size of the new portable ultrasound equipment has expanded the application of bedside ultrasound from advanced cardiac evaluation to pulmonary applications. This class was designed with the busy emergency physician in mind to minimize time away from practice. You will learn advance cardiac scanning techniques, skills for DVT’s evaluation, ultrasound guided procedures and vascular access, soft tissue ultrasound evaluation and new applications.
