Overview

This is a new initiative to provide a six-day broad spectrum review of radiological subspecialties for residents and radiologists in preparation to take the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada licensing exam in Diagnostic Radiology.

Target Audience
Residents and radiologists preparing for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada licensing exam.

Objectives
Comprehensive reviews in Chest, Cardiac, Breast Imaging, GI, GU, Women's Imaging, Emergency Radiology, MSK, Pediatrics and Nuclear Medicine will be held in session formats. The final day of the program will include mock oral and mock OSCE presentations offered to PGY 5 residents or radiologists scheduled to take the exam in 2011.

Accreditation

The University of Ottawa's Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) to provide accredited CME activities for family physicians and specialists. This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for up to 43.75 credits. Through an agreement with the U.S. Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, it is also accredited for 43.75 hours of Category 1 credits towards the Physicians' Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.(AMA).
