Description:
This 2.5 day course is a comprehensive review of the role of bone densitometry in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. The course will cover the technology, clinical applications, interpretation of results, clinical procedures, handling of problem cases, safety, quality assurance and the establishment and operation of a bone densitometry service. A hands-on workshop demonstration of clinical bone densitometry units is included in the curriculum.
