MEETING DESCRIPTION:
This symposium is structured to provide a comprehensive review of Multi-slice - Multi-detector CT. A balance of topics including body, cardiovascular, neurovascular and dose reduction techniques will be presented. Tips, protocols and recent technical enhancements will be discussed. The faculty has been chosen for their teaching ability, as well as for their expertise.
Educational Objectives:
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
- Discuss the use of multislice CT and CTA in the diagnosis and evaluation of cardiac and thoracic abnormalities
- Optimize imaging protocols for neurovascular CT/CTA
- More effectively utilize abdominal and peripheral CT angiography
- Assess abdominal and pelvic pathology utilizing multislice CT
- Optimize CT colonography protocols and techniques
- Discuss recent technological advancements of multislice CT
- Incorporate state of the art radioation dose saving techniques/protocols into clinical practice
- Describe how to effectively and efficiently utilize CT in today's medical environment
