----About the Meeting
A fundamental focus of the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society is continuing education for medical professionals actively engaged in the practice of MRI. The annual meeting is an outstanding teaching forum with emphasis on practical, clinical information that can immediately be put into daily use. An outstanding faculty chosen for their teaching ability and dedication to the CMRS mission will discuss common and unique pathologies, appropriate protocols and new developments.
----Target Audience
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate diagnostic imaging physicians who supervise and interpret MRI studies and technologists who perform MRI. However, this meeting is also of great benefit for referring physicians who order these studies, so that they may gain a greater appreciation for the uses, strengths and limitations of clinical MRI.
----Educational Objectives
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
Recognize and evaluate a wide variety of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology using MRI
Understand the utility of MRI and MRA in the evaluation of the brain and spinal axis
Describe the ability of MRI and MRA to diagnose multiple abnormalities of body and cardiovascular system
Understand the current diagnostic and interventional guidelines for MRI in breast disease
Describe the physical principles of basic and advanced MRI/MRA and use those principles to enhance image quality
Discuss socio-economic issues affecting diagnostic radiology and their impact on clinical practice
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.
