ABOUT THE MEETING

This symposium is structured to provide a clinical perspective of PET and PET-CT imaging. Basic to advanced applications of PET and PET-CT are put in the context of disease detection and treatment planning. All faculty have been chosen for their teaching ability, as well as for their clinical expertise.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This CME activity should benefit radiologists, oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and nuclear medicine technologists. The course should also prove valuable for physicians who order these studies.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

Implement newer protocols for evaluating lung and breast cancer into practice
Compare the clinical applications and pitfalls of PET radiotracers
Describe the role of molecular imaging in translational medicine
Optimize PET and PET-CT imaging protocols for the detection and follow up of head and neck cancers and lymphoma.
Discuss the advantages and pitfalls of PET and PET-CT imaging
