Lawsuit Prevention via Imaging tests - Orthopedic Surgery is no different

(SAN DIEGO) -- At the annual meeting of the American Cademy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) in San Diego this year, researchers from CHOP (Children's Hospital of PA) found that in a retrospective review of over 2,000+ patients, approximately 35% of imaging costs were related to defensive medicine - to basically prevent lawsuits.
