CSDMS - Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

The Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS) was founded in 1981. In 1983 the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers became a partner in the Canadian Medical Association Conjoint Accreditation process. Over the years the society has grown steadily and currently there are over 2500 members.

The Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS) includes in its membership ultrasound professionals from all specialty areas of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, as well as technical representatives, physicians, educators and students. The purpose of the CSDMS is to foster excellence in patient care and professional interaction and to promote the highest level of professional standards of practice for sonographers in Canada. The CSDMS will continue to move forward with goals and objectives to meet the evolving needs of its membership by identifying, promoting and achieving new levels of success in education and professional development.
