 enipuncture is allowed in most states with the documented training. Th
 is course will provide the techniques for administration, the pharmaco
 logy of dose units, the importance of documentation and the response t
 o allergic reactions. You will not want to miss this important opportu
 nity to enhance your skills. Course includes both lecture and laborato
 ry training with IV training arms.\nCourse Topics\n• Safe and correc
 t venipuncture techniques\n• Aseptic techniques and infection contro
 l\n• Patient safety, cooperation and education\n• Administration o
 f prescribed medications and contrast media\n• Documentation, charti
 ng procedures and outcomes\n• Recognition and a response to allergic
  reactions to contrast media or medications\n\nTechnologists who wish 
 to participate in the class for informational purposes will receive 8 
 Hours of CE Credit and will not advance to the clinical participation.
 \n*To meet California state requirements, you must have 10 hours of tr
 aining and 10 venipuncture sticks under the supervision of a qualified
  instructor. For our course, a qualified instructor is a physician or 
 registered nurse in your facility where you are employed. The venipunc
 tures will be completed in the facility where you are employed, after 
 permission has been obtained from the employer. Supervision should be 
 by the radiologist from whom you will be accepting orders to perform t
 he venipuncture.\nIt is required that you have current CPR training an
 d that you receive in-service training in first aid, emergency respons
 e and the facility emergency response system. You will spend eight hou
 rs in the classroom in the theory and practice of venipuncture on IV t
 raining arms. The additional required two hours of training must be ob
 tained in your facility and include crash cart procedures, emergency u
 tilization of oxygen and the ambu or bag-valve mask. The clinical perf
 ormance of the ten venipuncture sticks under supervision must be compl
 eted, documented, and the clinical supervisor must attest by signature
  to the satisfactory completion. After all required documentation is c
 ompleted and returned to Advanced Health, a certificate will be issued
  documenting compliance to California state requirements. The required
  venipuncture sticks must be completed in a six-month period following
