 ETING DESCRIPTION:\nThis course is specifically designed for the radio
 logist in clinical practice. The goal of the course is to provide a re
 view of a wide variety of different topics in radiology with a particu
 lar emphasis on CT, MRI and PET-CT. Specialists in thoracic imaging, a
 bdominal radiology, neuroradiology, ultrasound and nuclear medicine wi
 ll discuss important imaging indications and will present a practical 
 based approach to reading clinical cases. A variety of emerging techno
 logies and new clinical indications will be included, designed for rad
 iologists wishing to expand their scope of practice.\n\nEARN SAM CREDI
 T\nAn opportunity for completion of a Self-Assessment Module will also
  be offered. “Imaging of Pancreatic Tumors” (ABR # UCSS 030109-545
 ) was approved on January 13, 2009, and is qualified by the American B
 oard of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward t
 he purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certif
 ication Program. SAM credits are required for radiologists certified s
 ince 2002.\n\nAt the completion of this course, the attendee should be
  able to:\n\n• Evaluate high resolution CT scans of the lungs using 
 a practical findings based approach\n• Gain a comprehensive understa
 nding of the role of PET-CT in oncologic imaging\n• Better form prac
 tice guidelines related to contrast nephropathy and nephrogenic system
 ic fibrosis\n• Utilize musculoskeletal MRI in the evaluation of spor
 ts injuries and tumors\n• Improve understanding of the role of imagi
 ng in pancreatic tumors and colitis\n• Be able to fully evaluate the
  findings of gynecologic emergencies and their pitfalls\n• Describe 
 the role and recent advances in MRI imaging of brain tumors and abnorm
 alities of the spine\n• Improve your understanding of benign and mal
