 s proud to present its annual Resident Review course. This comprehensi
 ve radiology overview is targeted to residents and clinical fellows, a
 s well as practicing radiologists interested in updating their working
  knowledge by covering all the major radiology subspecialties. The cou
 rse is designed to include the breadth and depth of experience of a ma
 jority of UCSF Radiology’s esteemed faculty, who are renown for thei
 r clinical and academic expertise.\n\nThis review course highlights th
 e fundamentals of the major organ systems and corresponding imaging mo
 dalities. Lecture content will focus on comparative analysis and key f
 actors that promote accurate diagnosis by the radiologist in clinical 
 practice. Formal didactic lectures will be combined with unknown case 
 review sessions, in order to give the attendee a thorough review of ra
 diology fundamentals and terminology, as well as exposure to a cross-s
 ection of topical and clinically relevant interesting cases.\n\nUpon c
 ompletion of this course, the attendee should be able to:\n1. Discuss 
 current concepts and recent advances in diagnostic radiology;\n2. Diff
 erentiate the techniques of ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic 
 resonance imaging and nuclear medicine;\n3. Recognize interventional m
 odalities and their appropriate uses;\n4. Classify pathophysiological 
 mechanisms underlying human disease;\n5. Identify the fundamentals of 
 the following specialty areas: Breast, Cardio/Interventional, Gastroin
 testinal, Genitourinary, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medi
