 vide essentials and an update of MRI evaluation of the musculoskeletal
  system including the joints, as well as muscle MRI, bone and soft tis
 sue tumor assessment, and nerve entrapment syndromes. Practical inform
 ation will be emphasized. Advances in musculoskeletal imaging will be 
 taught including the capabilities of new equipment, coils and higher f
 ield imaging. Protocols and reporting will also be discussed in some l
 ectures. Hot topics including ACL repair, postoperative shoulder, femo
 roacetabular impingement and cartilage imaging will provide new inform
 ation that can be used in general and subspecialty practices.\n\nThis 
 course is geared towards diagnostic radiologists, orthopedic surgeons,
  sports medicine physicians, and MRI technologists with some basic or 
 intermediate knowledge of musculoskeletal MRI who want to increase the
 ir knowledge to a more advanced level.\n\nAt the completion of this co
 urse, the participants should be able to:\n1. Use optimized protocols 
 for imaging of the musculoskeletal system;\n2. Understand the MRI anat
 omy of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle;\n3. Identify a
 bnormalities of the joints, muscles and cartilage on MRI and their cli
 nical significance;\n4. Recognize common bone and soft tissue tumors w
 ith a pertinent differential diagnosis;\n5. Recall findings associated
  with nerve entrapment syndromes;\n6. Consider implementation of new d
