 SCRIPTION:\nThis course is designed for the clinical radiologist who s
 pecializes in breast imaging or who practices general diagnostic radio
 logy including breast imaging. It is intended to provide an overview a
 nd update on clinically relevant topics in diagnostic imaging of the b
 reast including recent developments in the subspecialty. A practical a
 pproach is emphasized which includes formal didactic lectures covering
  core topics in breast imaging with concepts reinforced by interactive
  workshops in a small group setting. Lectures and workshops on similar
  core topic areas will be covered by different faculty to provide part
 icipants with a broader perspective on the different approaches for pr
 oblem solving in breast imaging.\n\nThis course satisfies the continui
 ng medical education requirement for MQSA in breast imaging.\n\nAt the
  completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:\n1. Compar
 e the considerations applicable to screening with different breast ima
 ging techniques, including mammography, ultrasound, CT and MRI\n2. Des
 cribe the rationale and expected outcomes for imaging surveillance of 
 probably benign lesions of the breast.\n3. Understand the appropriate 
 use of BIRADs and be familiar with recent updates.\n4. Use methods to 
 reduce the number of false-negative and false-positive mammography int
 erpretations\n5. Assist in diagnostic workups using interventional bre
 ast imaging procedures, including percutaneous sampling of nonpalpable
  lesions;\n6. Recognize the indications, strengths and weaknesses of c
 urrent breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques.\n\nINSTRUCT
