The radiologist must adapt to the impact of rapid scanning and large data sets. Evolving technology improves radiologica l practice not only through improved image quality for anatomical inte rpretation but development of imaging biomarkers. The use of high reso lution MRI and MDCT and fast multi-phase imaging sequences also necess itates the ability to handle and review extremely large data sets. A f urther consequence of the higher resolution, multi-phase CT and MRI te chniques is the recognition of potential patient risks and focus on co ntrast and radiation safety awareness. This course targets the communi ty radiologist involved in body, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal im aging with a focus on pearls and pitfalls in current imaging technique s.
