 ighth Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the Society of Thoraci
 c Radiology.This 4-day course will feature internationally recognized 
 experts in imaging of the lungs, heart, thoracic vasculature, mediasti
 num, and pleura, and will include the following:\n\nDedicated Symposia
  on the following subjects:\n• Coronary and cardiac imaging (CT, MRI
 )\n• Aortic and pulmonary vascular imaging\n• Diffuse infiltrative
  lung disease\n• Imaging of the airways\n• Solitary pulmonary nodu
 le evaluation\n• Lung cancer update: the revised staging system and 
 its applications\n• Update in thoracic imaging technology and radiat
 ion dose reduction\n• Intensive care and postoperative imaging\n• 
 Pulmonary infections\n\nCourse Objectives\nAt the completion of the co
 urse, the attendee will be able to:\n1. Summarize the role of imaging 
 in the assessment of both ischemic and nonischemic\nheart disease.\n2.
  Describe a multifaceted approach to the assessment of diffuse lung di
 sease.\n3. Optimize the use of imaging in diagnosis and staging of lun
 g malignancies.\n4. Outline approaches to radiation dose reduction in 
 CT of the chest.\n5. Summarize the role of imaging in the assessment o
 f the pulmonary arteries.\n6. Describe technological advances in compu
 ted tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, and positron emi
 ssion tomography (PET) as they relate to chest disease.\n7. Understand
  the role of imaging in the ICU and postoperative patients.\n8. Descri
