one of the finest ski resorts in the northwest and is an ideal resort
for the entire family. Nestled between three major mountain ranges, Bi
g Sky offers 3,600 acres of alpine skiing, 65 miles of groomed cross c
ountry ski trails, ice skating, sleigh rides and numerous fine restaur
ants. The resort's tram, high speed quads, chairlifts and gondola can
carry 20,000 skiers per hour; this ensures that you will not spend you
r time in lift lines. Also, 400-inch average snowfalls and extensive s
now-making provide the best possible skiing conditions.\n\n\nBig Sky b
oasts beginning, intermediate and advanced runs, with Lone Mountain to
pping off at 11,166 feet. You can ski freestyle through open meadows,
master mogul fields and tour down perfectly groomed slopes that keep y
ou wondering if they will ever end.\n\nFor those who do not ski or wou
ld like to improve their skills, Big Sky offers private and group less
ons at all ability levels. If you bring children, lessons are availabl
e for those three years and above. You can leave children ages six mon
ths to 12 years with Handprints Daycare Center (406-995-3332) for a da
y full of games and activities. Reservations are strongly recommended
if you wish to take advantage of Handprints Daycare.\n\nFor a change o
f pace, you can visit Yellowstone Park. At Yellowstone, just 40 miles
from Big Sky, you can cross-country ski, snowmobile or travel by snow
coach. Reservations are strongly recommended. Other attractions in the
Big Sky area are cowboy bars and poker, which is legal in Montana.\n\
nWords alone can't describe this Montana paradise. Experience Big Sky
for yourself--we know you'll want to come back!\n\nFor more informatio
