 ministrators\n\nStatement of Need\nThe mission of the SCCT is to foste
 r optimal clinical\neffectiveness of cardiovascular CT through profess
 ional\neducation. As such, the SCCT designed the 4th Annual Scientific
  Meeting to fill the gap in cardiovascular CT education. This meeting 
 will offer programming including the most recent developments in CT te
 chnology, scan and interpretation protocols, as well as current clinic
 al applications and limitations.\n\nOverall Objectives\nThis activity 
 is designed to provide current evidence-based\ninformation on the tech
 nical principles, methods, clinical results, potential applications an
 d limitations of cardiovascular CT. The goal of the meeting is to incr
 ease the knowledge and improve the competency and performance of physi
 cians in the area of cardiovascular CT in order to improve overall pat
 ient diagnosis and care.\n\nAfter participating in this activity, the 
 participants should be\nbetter able to:\nâ€¢ Describe the technical pr
 inciples of cardiovascular CT imaging\nâ€¢ Identify the clinical indic
 ations for cardiovascular\nCT scanning\nâ€¢ Explain the limitations of
  cardiovascular CT imaging\nâ€¢ Explain potential roles for cardiovasc
 ular CT beyond\ncoronary CT angiography\n\nThis activity has been plan
 ned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policie
 s of the ACCME through the joint sponsorship of Tulane University Heal
 th Sciences Center and the SCCT. Tulane University Health Sciences Cen
 ter is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education
  for physicians.\n\nDesignation\nTulane University Health Sciences Cen
 ter designates this\neducational activity for a maximum of 20.5 AMA PR
 A Category 1 Creditsâ„¢. Physicians should only claim credit commensur
 ate with the extent of their participation in the activity.\n\nUpdateâ
 €”the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has approved
  13.5 Category A Credits at the 4th Annual Scientific Meeting of the S
 ociety of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.\n\nSCCT received nearly 
 200 scientific abstracts for the 4th Annual Scientific Meeting. This u
 nprecedented amount exceeds the number submitted in previous years, an
 d will comprise the largest single-meeting collection of cardiovascula
 r CT original scientific abstracts.\n\nThis activity has been approved
  for AMA PRA Category 1 Creditâ„¢.\n\nAbstract submission is now close
