SUMMARY:Quality Management Theory (Live Event)
DESCRIPTION:Quality management (QM) is of great importance for hospita
 l and clinic-based radiology departments accredited through the Joint 
 Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). It is
  also an important part of mammography and compliance with the Mammogr
 aphy Quality Standards Act (MQSA). QM requires a working knowledge of 
 the quality improvement (QI) process and tools, quality control (QC), 
 equipment testing and regulatory guidelines. You will learn the basics
  of the quality management process from the theoretical to practical a
 pplication. A combination of experts will introduce you to the fundame
 ntals of QM. You will learn from the pros how QM has evolved and how Q
 I has changed. You will receive “hands-on” application in designin
 g QI monitors for your facility. You will learn how a well-designed QM
  program will improve imaging quality and patient care.  In addition t
 o the QC testing review, you will participate in a field trip to perfo
 rm a portion of the QC tests listed in the ARRT QM clinical competenci
 es required for the advanced level QM examination. All students will p
 rogress through the application phase of training at their own rate.  
 Advanced Health can provide the opportunity to meet some of the clinic
 al competency requirements for the ARRT advanced level exam for qualit
 y management, but cannot guarantee the competency can be met. The perf
 ormance of each competency is dependent upon the participant’s indiv
 idual skill level.  The QM test is offered by ARRT through June 30, 2
