SUMMARY:Quality Management Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:Quality management is of great importance for hospital and
  clinic-based radiology departments accredited through the Joint Commi
 ssion on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Quality ma
 nagement is also an important part of mam-mography and compliance with
  the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). Quality management requ
 ires a working knowledge of the quality improvement (QI) process and t
 ools, quality control (QC), equipment testing and regulatory guide-lin
 es. You will learn the basics of the quality management process from t
 he theoretical to practical application. A combination of experts will
  introduce you to the fundamentals of QM. You will learn from the pros
  how QM has evolved and how QI has changed. You will receive “hands-
 on” application in designing QI monitors for your facility. You will
  learn how a well-designed QM program will improve imaging quality and
  patient care. In addition to the QC testing review, you will particip
 ate in a field trip to perform a portion of the QC tests listed in the
  ARRT QM clinical competencies required for the advanced level QM exam
 ination. All students will progress through the application phase of t
 raining at their own rate.Advanced Health can provide the opportunity 
 to meet some of the clinical competency requirements for the ARRT Ad-v
 anced Level Exam for Quality Management, but cannot guarantee the comp
 etency can be met. The performance of each competency is dependent upo
