 id=4538\n\nMEETING DESCRIPTION:\nQuality Management Fellowship Quality
  management is of great importance for hospital and clinic-based radio
 logy departments accredited through the Joint Commission on Accreditat
 ion of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Quality management is also an
  important part of mam-mography and compliance with the Mammography Qu
 ality Standards Act (MQSA). Quality management requires a working know
 ledge of the quality improvement (QI) process and tools, quality contr
 ol (QC), equipment testing and regulatory guide-lines. You will learn 
 the basics of the quality management process from the theoretical to p
 ractical application. A combination of experts will introduce you to t
 he fundamentals of QM. You will learn from the pros how QM has evolved
  and how QI has changed. You will receive “hands-on” application i
 n designing QI monitors for your facility. You will learn how a well-d
 esigned QM program will improve imaging quality and patient care. In a
 ddition to the QC testing review, you will participate in a field trip
  to perform a portion of the QC tests listed in the ARRT QM clinical c
 ompetencies required for the advanced level QM examination. All studen
 ts will progress through the application phase of training at their ow
 n rate. Advanced Health can provide the opportunity to meet some of th
 e clinical competency requirements for the ARRT Ad-vanced Level Exam f
 or Quality Management, but cannot guarantee the competency can be met.
