 537\n\nMEETING DESCRIPTION:\nQuality Management Fellowship Quality man
 agement is of great importance for hospital and clinic-based radiology
  departments accredited through the Joint Commission on Accreditation 
 of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Quality management is also an imp
 ortant part of mam-mography and compliance with the Mammography Qualit
 y Standards Act (MQSA). Quality management requires a working knowledg
 e of the quality improvement (QI) process and tools, quality control (
 QC), equipment testing and regulatory guide-lines. You will learn the 
 basics of the quality management process from the theoretical to pract
 ical application. A combination of experts will introduce you to the f
 undamentals of QM. You will learn from the pros how QM has evolved and
  how QI has changed. You will receive “hands-on” application in de
 signing QI monitors for your facility. You will learn how a well-desig
 ned QM program will improve imaging quality and patient care. In addit
 ion to the QC testing review, you will participate in a field trip to 
 perform a portion of the QC tests listed in the ARRT QM clinical compe
 tencies required for the advanced level QM examination. All students w
 ill progress through the application phase of training at their own ra
 te. Advanced Health can provide the opportunity to meet some of the cl
 inical competency requirements for the ARRT Ad-vanced Level Exam for Q
 uality Management, but cannot guarantee the competency can be met. The
  performance of each competency is dependent upon the participant’s
