 s, radiation oncologists and sonographers.\n\nProgram Description:\nTh
 is one-day program is a combined effort of the faculties of Urology, R
 adiology and Radiation Therapy. It provides an overview of established
  and recently developed approaches to ultrasound of the prostate with 
 a special emphasis on endorectal scanning.\n\nThe course incorporates 
 a variety of clinical perspectives to complement the basic information
  on physics, anatomy and pathology of the prostate gland. Our curricul
 um also covers issues of therapy and recent advances in technology tha
 t are changing the landscape of prostate diagnosis and treatment.\n\nT
 he course content is frequently updated as new standards and procedure
 s develop in this fast-paced field. In recent courses, there has been 
 a special lecture devoted to advanced techniques for detection of pros
 tate cancer including contrast-enhanced imaging and elastography.\n\nI
 n addition to the didactic component, this program offers an optional 
 practical hands-on experience, with live models, phantoms and a variet
 y of instruments. Each participant, in the optional hands-on practicum
 , will have the opportunity to perform endorectal scanning of the pros
