 his one-day program is a combined effort of the faculties of Urology, 
 Radiology and Radiation Therapy. It provides an overview of establishe
 d and recently developed approaches to ultrasound of the prostate with
  a special emphasis on endorectal scanning.\n\nThe course incorporates
  a variety of clinical perspectives to complement the basic informatio
 n on physics, anatomy and pathology of the prostate gland. Our curricu
 lum also covers issues of therapy and recent advances in technology th
 at are changing the landscape of prostate diagnosis and treatment.\n\n
 The course content is frequently updated as new standards and procedur
 es develop in this fast-paced field. In recent courses, there has been
  a special lecture devoted to advanced techniques for detection of pro
 state cancer including contrast-enhanced imaging and elastography.\n\n
 In addition to the didactic component, this program offers an optional
  practical hands-on experience, with live models, phantoms and a varie
 ty of instruments. Each participant, in the optional hands-on practicu
 m, will have the opportunity to perform endorectal scanning of the pro
