 :\nProgram Description:\nThis one-day program is a combined effort of 
 the faculties of Urology, Radiology and Radiation Therapy. It provides
  an overview of established and recently developed approaches to ultra
 sound of the prostate with a special emphasis on endorectal scanning.\
 n\nThe course incorporates a variety of clinical perspectives to compl
 ement the basic information on physics, anatomy and pathology of the p
 rostate gland. Our curriculum also covers issues of therapy and recent
  advances in technology that are changing the landscape of prostate di
 agnosis and treatment.\n\nThe course content is frequently updated as 
 new standards and procedures develop in this fast-paced field. In rece
 nt courses, there has been a special lecture devoted to advanced techn
 iques for detection of prostate cancer including contrast-enhanced ima
 ging and elastography.\n\nIn addition to the didactic component, this 
 program offers an optional practical hands-on experience, with live mo
 dels, phantoms and a variety of instruments. Each participant, in the 
 optional hands-on practicum, will have the opportunity to perform endo
