In spite of\nthe rapid growth of MR imaging, many\nbreast imaging radiologists still have\nlimited practical experience with th is\ntechnique. This course is intended to\nhelp radiologists move beyo nd the\nbasics and apply classroom knowledge\nin the clinical setting. \nThis case-based review course will\nexpose the attendee to multiple challenging\nbreast MRI cases, fully supervised\nby experienced, exper t breast MR\nfaculty. Using an electronic audienceresponse\nsystem (AR S), all attendees\nwill get immediate feedback regarding\ntheir own pe rformance as well as the\nability to measure their responses\nagainst those of their peers. The casebased\npresentations will be augmented\n by pertinent educational material, presented\nin traditional lecture f ormat\nthroughout the 1.5 day course. On\ncompletion of the course, at tendees\n\nwho have participated in all case-based\nsessions will have documented supervised\ninstruction in at least 100 breast\nMRI cases. \n\nOBJECTIVES\n\nAt the end of this activity, the participants\nwill be able to:\n\n} Identify image interpretation by direct\nparticipatio n in case-based instruction\n} Assess and provide feedback on at\nleas t 100 cases reviewed with MRI\nfaculty\n} Describe the current clinica l roles of\nbreast MRI\n} Identify the image patterns of benign\nand m alignant disease\n} Review methods for optimizing MRI\nguided biopsy\n } Evaluate correlation between imaging\nand pathologic findings\n\nCME STATEMENT\n\nThis activity has been planned and\nimplemented in accor dance with the\nEssential Areas and Policies of the\n\nAccreditation C ouncil for Continuing\nMedical Education (ACCME) through the\njoint-sp onsorship of the American\nRoentgen Ray Society and Society of\nBreast Imaging.
