DESCRIPTION:This two-day Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care hands-o
 n ultrasound course is designed to increase the participant’s knowle
 dge and competence to perform and interpret pediatric ultrasound exami
 nations.  The pediatric emergency and critical care ultrasound traini
 ng is developed in accordance with the ACEP and WINFOCUS ultrasound gu
 idelines.  The hands-on pediatric ultrasound workshop topics include:
  ultrasound imaging fundamentals, FAST, pneumothorax, lung Imaging, ul
 trasound guided procedures, vascular access, focused cardiac assessmen
 t, evaluation of the urinary tract in infants & children, pediatric GI
  applications such as pyloric stenosis, intussusception, evaluation of
  appendix & bowel obstruction, soft-tissue, MSK applications, evaluati
 on of DVT and more.    An optional lunch session on scrotal ultraso
 und is also offered (requires pre-registration)This pediatric emergenc
 y and critical care hands-on training course is taught by leading pedi
 atric emergency and critical care ultrasound experts and includes lect
 ures, interactive case presentations and extensive hands-on scanning, 
 featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models and inanimate phantoms for a re
 alistic training experience. A log of 30+ pediatric ultrasound examina
