DESCRIPTION:This two-day Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care hands-o
 n ultrasound course is designed to increase the participant’s knowle
 dge and competence to perform and interpret pediatric ultrasound exami
 nations.  The pediatric emergency and critical care ultrasound traini
 ng and is developed in accordance with the ACEP Ultrasound Practice an
 d WINFOCUS ultrasound guidelines.  The hands-on pediatric ultrasound 
 workshop topics include: ultrasound imaging fundamentals, FAST, pneumo
 thorax, lung Imaging, ultrasound guided procedures, vascular access, f
 ocused cardiac assessment of the pediatric patient, urinary tract infe
 ction and renal disease in infants & children, scrotal & testicular ev
 aluation, pediatric GI applications such as pyloric stenosis, intussus
 ception, evaluation of appendix & bowel obstruction, soft-tissue, MSK 
 applications, evaluation of DVT and more.   The pediatric emergency 
 and critical care ultrasound workshop offers general sessions and spec
 ialty break-out groups to address the specific needs of the emergency
