 Who Should Attend:\nThis course, with an additional optional hands-on 
 Saturday morning session, serves as a comprehensive review for the pra
 cticing clinician\n\nProgram Description:\nThis three-day program prov
 ides a more in-depth coverage of ultrasound applications in obstetrics
  and gynecology. Approximately three-quarters of the program is devote
 d to obstetrics and the remainder to gynecology.\n\nPracticing clinici
 ans and sonographers will be able to refresh their knowledge in gyneco
 logical areas such as the post-menopausal uterus, endometrial disorder
 s, adnexal masses, transvaginal imaging and obstetrics including probl
 em solving with obstetrical measurements, exposure to Doppler in Ob/Gy
 n, bioeffects and invasive procedures.\n\nLecture topics:\n\nA typical
  course schedule includes presentations on:\n\nBoth transabdominal and
  transvaginal scanning techniques are presented in classroom. During t
 he optional Saturday morning hands-on scanning session participants ha
 ve an opportunity to utilize a wide range of ultrasound instruments du
 ring scanning of live models with both transabdominal and transvaginal
  Gyn scanning on non-pregnant models, and transabdominal scanning on t
 hird trimester pregnant models.\n\nEducational Objectives:\nAfter atte
 nding this course, the participant should be able to:\n\n• recognize
  the acoustic representation of normal anatomy of the fetus and the fe
 male pelvis\n• describe the capabilities and limitations of ultrasou
 nd in Obstetrics and Gynecology\n• identify pathologies of the fetus
 , uterus, and ovaries from ultrasound images\n• perform basic ultras
 ound scanning of the non-pregnant female pelvis\n\nCME Credits and Tui
 tion:\nThe program is approved for 20.5 hours of AMA Category I credit
