 n Saturday morning session, serves as a comprehensive review for the p
 racticing clinician\n\nProgram Description:\nThis three-day program pr
 ovides a more in-depth coverage of ultrasound applications in obstetri
 cs and gynecology. Approximately three-quarters of the program is devo
 ted to obstetrics and the remainder to gynecology.\n\nPracticing clini
 cians and sonographers will be able to refresh their knowledge in gyne
 cological areas such as the post-menopausal uterus, endometrial disord
 ers, adnexal masses, transvaginal imaging and obstetrics including pro
 blem solving with obstetrical measurements, exposure to Doppler in Ob/
 Gyn, bioeffects and invasive procedures.\n\nLecture topics:\nBoth tran
 sabdominal and transvaginal scanning techniques are presented in class
 room. During the optional Saturday morning hands-on scanning session p
 articipants have an opportunity to utilize a wide range of ultrasound 
 instruments during scanning of live models with both transabdominal an
 d transvaginal Gyn scanning on non-pregnant models, and transabdominal
  scanning on third trimester pregnant models.\n\nEducational Objective
 s:\nAfter attending this course, the participant should be able to:\n\
 n• recognize the acoustic representation of normal anatomy of the fe
 tus and the female pelvis\n• describe the capabilities and limitatio
 ns of ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology\n• identify pathologie
 s of the fetus, uterus, and ovaries from ultrasound images\n• perfor
 m basic ultrasound scanning of the non-pregnant female pelvis\n\nCME C
