SUMMARY:Musculoskeletal MR
DESCRIPTION:Musculoskeletal MR\n\nCourse Overview\nThis three-day educ
ational course is designed to provide the practicing radiologist an in
tensive hands-on experience in the technique and the interpretation of
MR imaging of the knee, shoulder, ankle/foot and hip. The course is f
ocused toward the non-musculoskeletal trained radiologist responsible
for inter-pretation of these often complex examinations. The attendee
will have the opportunity to review and interpret over 100 mus-culoske
letal MR examinations under the supervision of expert faculty. Through
participation in multiple scan interpretation sessions, including a d
etailed review of the key findings, each attendee will develop a highe
r level of expertise and confidence in evaluating MR of these various
joints. All cases will be reviewed on a FUJI PACS workstation.\n\nSche
 dule & Registration\nMember Fee*: $3,500.00\nAug. 5-7, 2011 (Fri – S

 athology, AFIP,\nWashington, DC\n\nProgram Objectives\n\nAt the conclu
sion of this conference, participants will be able to:\n\n1. Identify
the normal appearances of important anatomic structures on MR imaging
of the knee, shoulder, ankle/foot and hip\n\n2. Identify abnormalities
involving the menisci, cruciate ligaments, collateral ligaments, exte
nsor mechanism and osteochondral structures on MR imaging of the knee\
n\n3. Recognize important MR imaging features of rotator cuff tears, g
lenoid labral injuries and their clinical implications\n\n4. Detect co
mmon abnormalities of frequently injured tendons, ligaments and osteoc
hondral structures on MR imaging of the ankle/foot\n\n5. Recognize imp
ortant imaging features of avascular necrosis, labral tears, femoroace
tabular impingement syndrome and traumatic injuries on MR of the hip\n
\nAttendees who complete a minimum of 100 cases will be awarded a Cert
ificate of Proficiency stating they meet the Maintenance of Competence
case requirement as specified in the ACR Practice Guidelines for the
Performance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for the knee, shoulder
