 rning activity will bring students and teacher together for an intensi
 ve learning experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound with the intent o
 f introducing the student to the wealth of information ultrasound is c
 apable of revealing about the morphology and dynamic physiology of the
  shoulder. Time in lecture will be balanced by dynamic scanning sessio
 ns, which serve to re-enforce the anatomy, physiology and pathology of
  the bony shoulder, the rotator cuff, ligaments, tendons and muscles o
 f the shoulder. Normal examples and common diseases of the shoulder wi
 ll be presented along with techniques the examiner will find useful in
  defining normal from abnormal shoulder anatomy. Pathology such as ten
 don tear, hematoma, synovial diseases and abnormalities of the cartila
 ge will be discussed. Examples of these common abnormalities will be p
 resented. A structured approach for examining the shoulder with ultras
 ound will be addressed. Students interested in learning to use ultraso
 und to evaluate the shoulder will take home a wealth of knowledge usef
