 520\n\nMEETING DESCRIPTION:\nCLINICAL FELLOWSHIP INFORMATION Advanced 
 Health Education Center offers clinical fellowship rotations as an enh
 ancement to the preceding theory course in the selected modality. AHEC
  offers clinical fellowships to registered radiographers (RT, R) In th
 e modalities of Mammography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance I
 maging and Cardiovascular Radiography. Fellowships are conducted In th
 e Houston, TX area in hospitals, imaging facilities and urgent care fa
 cilities. The length of clinical fellowship training will vary by the 
 modality selected. **No CE credit is awarded for clinical hours. In or
 der to receive a certificate documenting clinical attendance, technolo
 gists must return their timesheet and copies of their clinical compete
 ncy forms to the AHEC office via mail or fax to the attention of the r
 espective fellowship coordinator. Modality Information MRI, CT, CV Cli
 nical Fellowship: 40 hours of clinical rotations (Monday-Friday) each 
 week will give the technologist the opportunity to experience a wide a
 rray of exams, be tutored by experienced advanced modality professiona
 ls who provide insights, advice, and help you get the most out of your
  training. Also, clinical fellowships will allow technologists the opp
 ortunity to accrue some of their clinical experience (competencies) fo
 r preparation for advanced modality examinations. Clinical rotations a
 re based on a per week registration by the technologist. It is strongl
 y recommended attendance in clinical rotations be for the full weeks o
 ffered. Register early; there is a limited number of clinical sites av
 ailable. It will enhance clinical experience if technologists communic
 ate their goals related to clinical training to the fellowship coordin
 ator. If you have specific requests regarding equipment preference and
 /or software, please contact the AHEC clinical fellowship coordinator 
 related to these modalities. MRI, CT, and CV Fellowship Coordinator: R
 ebecca Adams, RT,(R)(CV)(BD)(CBDT)-Program Manager Magnetic Resonance 
 Imaging Fellowship Clinical: (1-3 week option) Technologists are place
 d with an emphasis on providing experience on a magnet when available,
  with the field strength and manufacturer requested when possible. MRI
  fellowship clinical will provide 40-120 hours of MRI training. Clinic
 al Fellowship Requirements Clinical Fellowship requires enrolled techn
 ologists to meet hospital and imaging center requirements as required 
 by affiliation agreements and education departments. The following inf
 ormation must be submitted to obtain a clinical site rotation assignme
 nt. Fellowship coordinators will contact enrolled technologists in adv
 ance of clinical rotations to secure appropriate documentation. Reliab
 le email and/or telephone contact Information must be provided at time
  of registration for the class. Failure to provide correct information
  will result in delay or failure of clinical placement. Required infor
 mation must be provided a minimum of three weeks prior to the first da
 y of the theory class. Minimum Clinical requirements Include: • A co
 py of current credentials and state licensure (If applicable). • Sig
