 vanced Health Education Center offers clinical fellowship rotations as
  an enhancement to the preceding theory course in the selected modalit
 y. AHEC offers clinical fellowships to registered radiographers (RT, R
 ) In the modalities of Mammography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Reso
 nance Imaging and Cardiovascular Radiography. Fellowships are conducte
 d In the Houston, TX area in hospitals, imaging facilities and urgent 
 care facilities. The length of clinical fellowship training will vary 
 by the modality selected. **No CE credit is awarded for clinical hours
 . In order to receive a certificate documenting clinical attendance, t
 echnologists must return their timesheet and copies of their clinical 
 competency forms to the AHEC office via mail or fax to the attention o
 f the respective fellowship coordinator. Modality Information MRI, CT,
  CV Clinical Fellowship: 40 hours of clinical rotations (Monday-Friday
 ) each week will give the technologist the opportunity to experience a
  wide array of exams, be tutored by experienced advanced modality prof
 essionals who provide insights, advice, and help you get the most out 
 of your training. Also, clinical fellowships will allow technologists 
 the opportunity to accrue some of their clinical experience (competenc
 ies) for preparation for advanced modality examinations. Clinical rota
 tions are based on a per week registration by the technologist. It is 
 strongly recommended attendance in clinical rotations be for the full 
 weeks offered. Register early; there is a limited number of clinical s
 ites available. It will enhance clinical experience if technologists c
 ommunicate their goals related to clinical training to the fellowship 
 coordinator. If you have specific requests regarding equipment prefere
 nce and/or software, please contact the AHEC clinical fellowship coord
 inator related to these modalities. MRI, CT, and CV Fellowship Coordin
 ator: Rebecca Adams, RT,(R)(CV)(BD)(CBDT)-Program Manager Magnetic Res
 onance Imaging Fellowship Clinical: (1-3 week option) Technologists ar
 e placed with an emphasis on providing experience on a magnet when ava
 ilable, with the field strength and manufacturer requested when possib
 le. MRI fellowship clinical will provide 40-120 hours of MRI training.
  Clinical Fellowship Requirements Clinical Fellowship requires enrolle
 d technologists to meet hospital and imaging center requirements as re
 quired by affiliation agreements and education departments. The follow
 ing information must be submitted to obtain a clinical site rotation a
 ssignment. Fellowship coordinators will contact enrolled technologists
  in advance of clinical rotations to secure appropriate documentation.

 rmation will result in delay or failure of clinical placement. Require
 d information must be provided a minimum of three weeks prior to the f
