SUMMARY:MRI Clinical Week 3
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Health Education Center offers clinical fellowshi
 p rotations as an enhancement to the preceding theory course in the se
 lected modality. AHEC offers clinical fellowships to registered radiog
 raphers (RT, R) in the modalities of mammography, computed tomography,
  magnetic resonance imaging and cardiovascular radiography. Fellowship
 s are conducted In the Houston, TX area in hospitals, imaging faciliti
 es and urgent care facilities. The length of clinical fellowship train
 ing will vary by the modality selected. **No CE credit is awarded for 
 clinical hours. In order to receive a certificate documenting clinical
  attendance, technologists must return their timesheet and copies of t
 heir clinical competency forms to the AHEC office via mail or fax to t
 he attention of the respective fellowship coordinator.  Modality Infor
 mation MRI, CT, CV Clinical Fellowship 40 hours of clinical rotations 
 (Monday-Friday) each week will give the technologist the opportunity t
 o experience a wide array of exams, be tutored by experienced advanced
  modality professionals who provide insights, advice, and help you get
  the most out of your training. Also, clinical fellowships will allow 
 technologists the opportunity to accrue some of their clinical experie
 nce (competencies) for preparation for advanced modality examinations.
 \nClinical rotations are based on a per week registration by the techn
 ologist. It is strongly recommended attendance in clinical rotations b
 e for the full weeks offered. Register early; there is a limited numbe
 r of clinical sites available. It will enhance clinical experience if 
 technologists communicate their goals related to clinical training to 
 the fellowship coordinator. If you have specific requests regarding eq
 uipment preference and/or software, please contact the AHEC clinical f
 ellowship coordinator related to these modalities.  Magnetic Resonance
  Imaging Fellowship Clinical: (1-3 week option)\nTechnologists are pla
 ced with an emphasis on providing experience on a magnet when availabl
 e, with the field strength and manufacturer requested when possible. M
 RI fellowship clinical will provide 40-120 hours of MRI training.\nCli
 nical Fellowship Requirements\nClinical Fellowship requires enrolled t
 echnologists to meet hospital and imaging center requirements as requi
 red by affiliation agreements and education departments. The following
  information must be submitted to obtain a clinical site rotation assi
 gnment. Fellowship coordinators will contact enrolled technologists in
  advance of clinical rotations to secure appropriate documentation. Re
 liable email and/or telephone contact Information must be provided at 
 time of registration for the class. Failure to provide correct informa
 tion will result in delay or failure of clinical placement. Required i
 nformation must be provided a minimum of three weeks prior to the firs
