Also, clini cal fellowships will allow technologists the opportunity to accrue som e of their clinical experience (competencies) for preparation for adva nced modality examinations.\nClinical rotations are based on a per wee k registration by the technologist. It is strongly recommended attenda nce in clinical rotations be for the full weeks offered. Register earl y; there is a limited number of clinical sites available. It will enha nce clinical experience if technologists communicate their goals relat ed to clinical training to the fellowship coordinator. If you have spe cific requests regarding equipment preference and/or software, please contact the AHEC clinical fellowship coordinator related to these moda lities. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Fellowship Clinical: (1-3 week opt ion)\nTechnologists are placed with an emphasis on providing experienc e on a magnet when available, with the field strength and manufacturer requested when possible. MRI fellowship clinical will provide 40-120 hours of MRI training.\nClinical Fellowship Requirements\nClinical fel lowship requires enrolled technologists to meet hospital and imaging c enter requirements as required by affiliation agreements and education departments. The following information must be submitted to obtain a clinical site rotation assignment. Fellowship coordinators will contac t enrolled technologists in advance of clinical rotations to secure ap propriate documentation. Reliable email and/or telephone contact Infor mation must be provided at time of registration for the class. Failure to provide correct information will result in delay or failure of cli nical placement. Required information must be provided a minimum of th ree weeks prior to the first day of the theory class.\nMinimum Clinica l requirements Include:\n\nA copy of current credentials and state lic ensure (if applicable)\nSigned letter of good health on physician's le tterhead\nCurrent immunizations to include: Tuberculosis (documentatio n of negative PPD or negative CXR report within the last 12 months, He patitis B series (documentation of completed series and/or positive ti ter, or deferral), Tetanus within the last 10 years, Varicella (chicke n pox)-(immunization, positive history by MD letter, positive titer), MMR date or titer date, current influenza vaccination\nUrine drug scre en\nCopy of current CPR card (front and back)\nA signed background rel ease form with a copy of current driver’s license to include expirat ion date, social security number and date of birth.
