uidelines for states requiring special education for mammography.\nTra
ining Options\nIn April, 1999, the final rules of the Mammography Qual
ity Standards Act (MQSA) became effective that required entry level tr
aining for mammography including the performance of 25 patient procedu

h Education Center, Ltd. will accomplish this through two training opt
ions listed below.\n\nOption 1\nFacilities may supervise the MQSA requ
ired 25 patient procedures for their employees following the didactic
program. The supervising clinical faculty must be a RT(R)(M) meeting M
QSA requirements. Supervising clinical faculty will be required to sup
ervise, document and return original clinical evaluation forms for stu
dents to complete the course. All paperwork for Option 1 will be email
ed after payment has been processed. Paperwork for Option 1 must be pr
ovided at least 2 weeks prior to the start date of the course. \n\n\n
Option 2\nIf your facility is unable to supervise the required 25 p
atient procedures to complete your training, AHEC can facilitate a cli
nical site in Houston, Texas for an additional two days immediately af
ter the classroom portion of the course is complete. This option requi
res an additional course fee and paperwork. Please view the \"Mammogra
phy Initial Training Option 2\" course description for details. All pa
perwork for Option 2 will be emailed after payment has been processed.
Paperwork for Option 2 must be provided at least 3 weeks prior to th
e start date of the course.\n\n\n\nDigital Mammography and Clinical Ap
