SUMMARY:Mammography Initial Training Option 2
DESCRIPTION:The curriculum for “Mammography Initial Training Option 
 2” will provide the technologist with all of the required components
  of training as outlined by MQSA. You will be awarded 40 hours of Cate
 gory A credit for the five day course including Digital Mammography an
 d Tomosynthesis Modality Specific Training. ARRT certification and/or 
 a fully unrestricted state license are required for admission to the t
 raining. This course meets the guidelines for states requiring special
  education for mammography.\nClinical placement is limited and is comp
 leted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Clinical days will begin Tue
 sday-Wednesday immediately following the five-day course. Placement wi
 ll continue in concurrent two day blocks after the Tuesday-Wednesday b
 lock is full. Clinicals occur during weekdays only. To secure clinical
  placement, AHEC must receive the registration, payment in full, and a
 ll required clinical placement paperwork. *An email will be sent once 
 registration is received with a list of the required clinical placemen
 t paperwork.\nThe course includes: 24 hours of training on the core co
 mpetencies as outlined by MQSA, 8 hours of Digital Mammography Modalit
 y Specific Training, and 8 hours of Tomosynthesis Modality Specific Tr
 aining. You will also receive a CD with instructional materials of Fil
 m Screen Training. For more specific topics, please view the course ou
