 TING DESCRIPTION:\nMammography Fellowship: Initial MQSA Training Requi
 rement for Mammography\nIf you are looking for a comprehensive course 
 on mammography skill training and enhancement, this is the course for 
 you! You will cover every aspect of a mammography procedure required t
 o meet initial training requirements as outlined by MQSA . The topics 
 covered will include anatomy and physiology hands-on positioning lab, 
 film critique sessions and clinical participation. Quality assurance a
 nd pathology are also highlights in this class. The instructional mate
 rial provided is a great resource once you return to the workplace.\nT
 his practical approach to learning mammography is applicable to all te
 chnologists performing mammography. Professional liability insurance i
 s provided for clinical rotations. Clinical dress codes apply for the 
 clinical rotations. ARRT certification and/or a fully unrestricted sta
 te license is required for admission to the training. Registration mus
 t be received at least two weeks in advance to assure clinical sites. 
 This class is approved by the ASRT for 32 Hours Category A credit. It 
 has been evaluated and meets the 40 contact hour initial training requ
 irements as mandated by the MQSA standards for the FDA. It meets the g
 uidelines for states requiring special education for mammography.\n**P
 articipants in this class who will be performing clinical examinations
  in a digital mammography department or wish to meet initial requireme
 nts in film-screen and digital mammography must register for the Monda

 In April, 1999, the final rules of the Mammography Quality Standards A
 ct (MQSA) became effective that required entry level training for mamm
 ography including the perfor-mance of 25 patient procedures under the 
 super-vision of a qualified mammographer. Advanced Health Education Ce
